It all began some 25 years ago when two of Durand Cook's former college classmates simultaneously asked him to assist them in adopting newborn infants. By the time Durand researched the field and located appropriate birthmothers for each couple, they had already adopted children, leaving Durand with the opportunity to serve the birthmothers' needs by assisting them in finding appropriate parents for their unborn children.
Today, Durand is still known for his heartfelt participation in each and every adoption. Take the case of the Vietnamese refugee children who landed in San Francisco wrapped only in blankets and placed in boxes on a cargo plane. Durand worked together with social workers and local agencies to place children with caring, loving adoptive parents. Twenty-one years later, two of the adoptees sought out Durand to thank him for his labor of love in finding each of them their adoptive parents, the parents they call Mom and Dad today.

Dr. Allan Rosenthal MFCA is a licensed Marriage, Family and Child Therapist who has been in private practice for over 23 years. He is a teacher, lecturer, and also executive producer and host of the cable television show, "The Journey Within," and is the founder and Minister for, "A Gathering of Miracles," an interfaith fellowship. Both he and his brother are happily adopted.
