Rick and CherylCheryl grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and was raised in a very close-knit family. She cherishes the time spent with her younger brother and parents and grew up surrounded by many aunts, uncles, grandparents and cousins around for every occasion. Cheryl’s parents taught her a passion for flowers and the outdoors and instilled in her a respect for all human beings. Her parents also taught her the importance of education. Cheryl attended college and currently works out of our home as an Account Executive. She looks forward to being a stay at home mom. Cheryl has a wonderfully warm and fun loving personality. She is a loving, nurturing, and caring person and will be a wonderful mother.
Rick grew up in Madison, Wisconsin. His parents worked hard to raise the very trusting, honest, hard working, and thoughtful individual he is today. After college Rick earned his MBA from the University of Chicago. He currently works in marketing for a medical device manufacturer. One of Rick’s favorite pastimes is golf. He shares this hobby with his father and many of his friends. Rick also loves watching sports and looks forward to teaching our child to root for the Wisconsin Badgers. Rick is a caring, loyal and loving husband and his insight, wisdom and tenderness will make him an amazing father.
We share our home with our seven year old cat Blazer and our three year old dog Flynn. Blazer is an orange and white cat who we adopted six months ago. He is very affectionate and loves to beg for ham. Flynn is a very friendly and loving Pembroke Welsh Corgi. He enjoys his daily walks and visiting the neighborhood kids. He also participates in the neighborhood block party’s annual pet parade, where he can socialize with the kids and other dogs in the neighborhood. He loves to play fetch in the backyard and running through the snow. Blazer and Flynn can’t wait to add a new addition to our family.
We have had a loving marriage for the past six years and are still each other’s best friend. The bond we share is based on respect, honesty and love. We knew we wanted to start a family shortly after we were married and believe that parenting a child will be one of the great joys of life. Our tribulations with infertility have strengthened our relationship and we are closer than ever as we begin our adoption journey. We can’t wait to become parents, and we feel adoption will give us the opportunity to share our love, stability, and happiness with a child. We have so much love to give your baby and also provide him or her with all the world has to offer.
