Aaron & Mikaela

Hello we are Mikaela & Aaron and we appreciate you taking the time to get to know us and understand why it is our greatest hope to welcome a child into our lives through adoption. We love spending time with our family enjoying a good laugh as we have a great sense of humor. We are best friends and always seem to have a great time together no matter what we are doing. Family is our biggest priority and we look forward to sharing all of our love, friendship and adventures with another child.

Through time, we have developed a deep-rooted friendship that continues to grow over the years. Our experiences together have helped us to create a solid and stable foundation on which to build a family. We are excited and grateful that we have been able to fulfill our dreams of becoming parents through open adoption. We have a three year old daughter named Violet, who was adopted in 2006. She is very excited about becoming a big sister and looks forward to having a sibling join our family.

About Mikaela

Mikaela was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. She moved to California after high school. She is a stay at home mom who enjoys spending her days gardening or cooking wonderful meals. Mikaela finds much joy in her life spending time with her daughter and looks forward to having another child grow.

About Mikaela (by Aaron)

Mikaela is thoughtful, insightful and kind. She enjoys laughing and having fun. She has a great love for animals and nature, as well as a passion for food and cooking. Mikaela is one of those people who will go out of her way to make sure that everyone around her is happy. She is a very thoughtful and giving person and I look forward to watching her share these qualities with a child.

About Aaron

Aaron grew up in a small town in Northern California near Lake Tahoe. He is an entrepreneur at heart and owns a wholesale motorcycle brokerage. He has the opportunity to maintain a flexible work schedule allowing him extra time to spend with his family. He looks forward to teaching a child all the wonders of life while watching them develop their own interests and hobbies.

About Aaron (by Mikaela)

Aaron is a sensitive and grounded person. He is an adventurer wanting to explore everything that life has to offer. He enjoys laughing and having fun in life as much as possible. Being active outdoors and sharing the same love for nature as I do is one of the reason we have such a great time together. I enjoy watching him make our home and property a comfortable and beautiful place to live. Aaron is one of the kindest and most caring people I know who is also full of love and patience.

Our Home

We live in a very warm and loving home with plenty of room for a child to safely explore. Our 2 dogs and 3 cats can usually be found lounging in the sun or looking for someone to play with around our house. We live in a country setting in the Santa Cruz Mountain's about 10 miles out of town. There is a State Park across the street from us that provides endless hiking trails for the entire family. The beach is only 10 minutes away from our house allowing us to enjoy regular outings.

Family is very important to us and we are always learning many things from different members of our diverse family. We have 5 loving parents who enjoy being grandparents. Because of our close relationships with both sides of our families, we spend most, if not all, holidays together celebrating our family traditions.

In Closing

We believe a child should always know that they are loved unconditionally. We will continuously encourage him or her to develop and explore their individual strengths and talents. We feel it is important to teach a child to value family, education, respect for self and others. Providing a loving, nurturing, active and happy home filled with family and friends is our promise to you and the child you are expecting.
